Funded by a grant from the Criminal Justice Division, Office of the Governor, and the National Violence Against Women Office, SAFVIC training is free to Texas Peace Officers and Telecommunication Professionals. More information can be found at the SAFVIC website SAFVIC.org.
The SAFVIC Program is comprised of 4 courses:
- Sexual Assault and Family Violence Investigator Course for Law Enforcement (24 hours)
- Substitutes for the mandated Special Investigative Topics #3232
- SAFVIC for Telecommunication Professionals (8 hours)
- SAFVIC – Human Trafficking training (8 hours)
- Investigation & Prosecution of Strangulation (8 hours)
