SECTION 8 HOUSING INSPECTOR
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Section 8 Housing Inspector is responsible for ensuring rental units participating in the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Program meet HUD’s Housing Quality Standards (HQS). This role conducts various property inspections, documents deficiencies, communicates required repairs to owners and tenants, and verifies corrections through re-inspections. The Inspector also supports rent reasonableness determinations and maintains accurate inspection records while providing professional customer service to program participants.
Candidates with experience in property inspections, maintenance, construction, or related fields are strongly encouraged to apply.
