Serving Central Texans

The Central Texas Council of Governments helps local communities work cooperatively to improve the conditions and well-being of Central Texans.

Whether reaching out to elders in need of at-home or nursing home assistance, helping a family find a safe and affordable home, providing essential transportation planning, or keeping you safe through emergency and security programs, we serve with compassion, dedication and professionalism.

CodeRED Notification System

The CodeRED system provides regional emergency management agencies the ability to quickly deliver messages to targeted areas, entire communities, selected groups, or the entire region.

The CodeRED system was selected in order to provide individuals and businesses the ability to add their own phone numbers directly into the database; this is an extremely important feature. Citizens who previously registered their phone number with a different emergency notification provider (for example, through their city) must re-register with the new CodeRED system in order to be included.
