Are you a Nurse’s Aide Looking for Continuing Education Classes?

The Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) reviews and approves nurse aide training and competency evaluation programs such as the one offered by the Area Agency on Aging of Central Texas (AAACT).  Nurse aides renewing their certification after September 1, 2013 must complete 24 hours of in-service education and that education must include training in geriatrics, and if applicable, the care of residents with dementia disorder, including Alzheimer’s disease.
