Meet Marianna Hanefeld!
As Tribal Liaison for Washington State DOT’s Public Transportation Division, Marianna Hanefeld supports 29 federally recognized tribes and manages the Rural Transit Assistance Program (RTAP). With deep experience in transportation advocacy, she has led statewide initiatives and served on the National RTAP Review Board. Marianna collaborated with National RTAP to transform Washington’s Volunteer Driver Program guidebook into a comprehensive toolkit, making it easier for agencies to establish and maintain volunteer driver programs.
