The Central Texas Council of Governments will be hosting a town hall-style meeting on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 to discuss the status of the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network, the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet), and the Texas Public Safety Broadband Program (TxPSBP). Representatives from the TxPSBP will be on hand to provide an update and to answer questions about the network and the planning currently underway for its nationwide deployment.
Immediately following the presentation and Q&A session, the TxPSBP team will conduct a coverage-mapping workshop, allowing local public safety professionals the opportunity to use a simple online mapping tool to denote areas of their respective jurisdictions where they feel public safety broadband coverage is needed.
The meeting will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, June 15th at the Central Texas Council of Governments headquarters, 2180 N. Main Street, Belton, TX 76513
