The Central Texas Council of Governments is looking for a PSAP Coordinator to perform day-to-day operational supervision of the Communications Centers’ operations within a seven-county area.  This responsibility includes equipment and personnel considerations for police, fire and medical dispatch, as well as the 9‑1‑1 system.  This position requires independent judgment in applying established policies and procedures as well as experienced knowledge to situations as they arise.  The coordinator must be able to effectively organize, assign, supervise and evaluate 9‑1‑1 staff.  Further, the ideal candidate must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with departmental administrative personnel, officials from other public safety agencies, subordinates, vendors and the general public.  Effective oral and written communication is crucial as well as the ability to establish and maintain effective and efficient procedures; and to evaluate future communication needs and plan for system changes.  Resumes should be submitted to:  CTCOG, Attention Kerry Fillip, PO Box 729, Belton, Texas, 76513 or Kerry.fillip@ctcog.org.
