Central Texas Council of Government is proud to team up with the University of Mary Hardin Baylor Criminal Justice Program to sponsor an innovative course with the National De-escalation Training Center (NDTC) in De-Escalation Principles & Practice: (2) day Face to Face training (16) hour #1849 course.
This is a 2 Day, 16 hour, Face to Face training.
Course delivers best practices in de-escalation including procedural justice, correct de-escalation language, officer adjustments for varying threat stages and environments, body language, conflict management, recognizing mental health and disability issues, and means to adjust interactions based upon rapid personality identification. Also included are de-escalation and prevention of escalation while maintaining professionalism, respectfulness, and self-control, particularly if insulting or disrespectful language and behavior are present. Numerous participatory scenarios and examples of proper officer behavior and responses.
National De-Escalation Training Center (NDTC) is approved by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Community-Oriented Policing Services (COPS) and certified by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST) and is the first and ONLY National Certified training program to incorporate personality modeling and threat stage recognition.
