Killeen residents can safely dispose of their household hazardous waste on Saturday, May 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Collection will take place in the rear parking lot of Killeen Civic and Conference Center, 3601 S. WS Young Drive. This is a free event.
Acceptable materials include petroleum products, corrosives, fertilizers, cleaners, pesticides, paint, automotive liquids and fluorescent lamps.
Prohibited materials include ammunition, electronics, explosives, medical waste, radioactive material, compressed glass cylinders and tires. These items will not be accepted.
