Medicare Open Enrollment begins October 15, 2015 and this is the one time of year when ALL individuals with Medicare can make changes to their health and prescription drug plans for the next year.
Medicare Open Enrollment ends December 7, 2015. In most cases, December 7th is the last day you can change your health and prescription drug coverage for the next year.
Coverage begins January 1, 2016 if you switched to a new health and/or prescription drug plan OR if you stay with your same plan, but made changes to coverage, benefits, or costs.
Do you need assistance paying for Medicare prescription drug coverage? If you have limited income and resources, you may qualify for “Extra Help” to pay your prescription drug costs.
Every year, there are new health and prescription drug plan choices. You should review your current health and prescription drug coverage every fall to make sure your coverage is still right for you. It’s worth the time to compare!
