Development District of Central Texas Seeking Applicants for Leadership Central Texas 2015

The Development District of Central Texas (DDCT) is seeking applicants for the 2015 Class of Leadership Central Texas.  This will be the fourth year for Leadership Central Texas which has already produced 36 graduates!  The DDCT is specifically looking for central Texas residents who have participated in local leadership training, local elected officials, or those who have been local elected officials.  The purpose of the course is threefold:

  1. Highlight opportunities for regional public service which match the interests of the participants,
  2. Enable the participants to become effective leaders in their region, and
  3. Develop relationships across the seven-county Central Texas Council of Governments region (Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Lampasas, Milam, Mills, and San Saba).

Recent graduate, Gregory Johnson, owner and property manager of Whispering Hills Apartments in Killeen said, “Leadership Central Texas provided me an opportunity to see Central Texas on a regional level and learn how all the individual communities work together for the common goal of a more prosperous Central Texas.”

The course training will be held 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. one day each month on the following schedule:  May 21, June 18 and July 16, 2015.  Due to the condensed nature of the course, attendance at all three sessions is required for a successful graduation.  Please ensure that your employer agrees to your participation in this program before committing.
