Operators must receive this training within the first six months of assignment or employment, regardless of whether these duties are performed on a full-time or part-time basis.  In order to comply with federal requirements, operators must recertify within two years of certification or most recent recertification date.

Required to perform TCIC/TLETS functions – please register only for the certificate needed:

Mobile: Officers who use an MDT | JAN 22

 Terminal Agency Coordinator | JAN 23

Associate Trainer Recertification: | JAN 24

Mobile Access Operator Training Course (TCOLE #4800 – 8 hours): This course is for Officers who use an MDT and operators who perform TCIC/NCIC functions at any level lower than full access. Generally, this pertains to inquiry only, including mobile data terminal (MDT) or laptop computer operators. It also covers information about driver license and vehicle registration. This course requires the TCIC/TLETS Operation Manual Part 1.

Terminal Agency Coordinator: The course is recommended for personnel to attend within six months of being appointed or assigned. It requires the TCIC/TLETS Terminal Agency Coordinator Manual, but there is no recertification required. 

Associate Trainer Recertification: Designed for current Associate Trainers only. Attendees review current TCIC/NCIC policy and procedures. This course will cover legislative updates, where applicable, and enhancements to new and existing files. This course requires the use of the TCIC/TLETS Associate Trainer Manual. All Associate Trainers must recertify every two years.
