CTCOG Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) is requesting applications from cities or counties interested in hosting a Household Hazardous Waste collection event next year. Our fiscal year begins on September 1st, and the committee is looking to hold collection events either this fall or next spring. These events are planned and funded through a cooperative effort between the host city/county and the Central Texas Council of Governments.
This application is due back to CTCOG staff no later than July 17th, 2015. SWAC will vote to select events at their next meeting, tentatively scheduled during the first week of August. Be prepared to have a representative present to answer questions regarding your site or your ability to contribute funds or labor. Note that on page 2 of the application form is a selection of background information and lessons learned.
